Activities & Recreation
Forest Heights Lodge (the Lodge) has a summer school and activity program, which runs from mid-June into August. During the week, the students have school in the morning with classes focused on the common core curriculum. We have found that our students benefit from a short, focused morning of school to maintain their academic gains of the past year and keep their skills sharp. For new students coming in, this summer school serves as a successful bridge for the school year ahead.
Each week, the staff prepare afternoon activities for the students. Participation in these on-campus and off-campus activities provides the students with the opportunity to build healthy relationships through recreation and fun. Some of our summer activities include: visits to museums, zoos and water parks, hiking, Rockies baseball games, Bronco training camp, shopping, area parks, biking, fishing, geo-caching, gold mine tours, and day trips to Colorado’s National Parks!
