At Forest Heights Lodge, we understand that family involvement is an essential part of successful treatment. Developing healthy relationships and boundaries is key to the success of a student’s reintegration into the family. We work with families to develop healthy boundaries, set expectations for growth, improve communication and promote positive parent-child relationships.
Each family is assigned a family therapist/case coordinator who will facilitate weekly updates and therapy sessions. Parents begin therapeutic visits at Forest Heights Lodge and in the Denver/Evergreen area every four to six weeks. While building on successes in treatment, clinicians will be available to support families and students during visits. Students begin to return home for scheduled therapeutic visits and school breaks. Visits allow the family and student opportunity to integrate new skills, boundaries and patterns into the family both through visits in the area and eventually at home.
