Are you a licensed facility?
Forest Heights Lodge is licensed as a Residential Child Care Facility with Colorado Department of Human Services.
Is your school approved?
Forest Heights Lodge is approved by the Colorado Department of Education and certified as a non-public school through California, Illinois, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia and Washington.
Are you accredited?
Forest Heights Lodge is the first Therapeutic Residential Program in Colorado to be fully accredited with Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals and Organizations (JCAHO). We have maintained accreditation since 1974, which currently requires us to meet over 240 quality standards.
Is this a for profit program?
Forest Heights Lodge is a 501.c.3 non-profit corporation registered in the state of Colorado.
How many students attend Forest Heights Lodge?
We enroll up to 24 boys at any given time.
What is your staff to student ratio?
Do you have a scholarship program?
We do not currently have a scholarship program.
Do you accept insurance?
Families have obtained reimbursement from their insurance companies for residential services and/or clinical costs. Check with your insurance provider to determine what your policy may cover.
When can my child enroll?
We have open enrollment throughout the year when space becomes available.
Do you accept international students?
Yes, we are certified with Student Exchange and Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and authorized under Federal Law to enroll non-immigrant alien students.
What is the average stay at the Lodge?
The length of stay is based on the complexity of the student's issues. Our ultimate goal for each student is to prepare them to transition to a less restrictive environment where they have more independence.
